1. Focus on making sure that some of your individual needs get met
  2. Take time out to nurture your own spirit and taking good care of you By:
    1. Slowing down and creating Me time
    2. Affirming yourself- positive self track
    3. Decreasing guilt – ie. guilt does not produce growth
  3. Recognize the difference between selfishness and self perseverance
  4. Identify things that bring you happiness outside of the roles “wife and mother”
  5. Give yourself permission to embrace other parts of your identity
  6. Make yourself a priority and ask for support
