Not by Choice:
- Grieve loss (anger sadness, barter, guilt, acceptance)
- Consider alternatives options (adoption, pets, nieces/nephews, friends)
- Don’t self blame
- Channel maternal nurturing energies into constructive outcomes
- Seek support to help process feeling (clergy, therapist, friends ect.)
By Choice:
- Understand that this is your choice
- Explore origin of your choice
- Don’t expect everyone to understand
- Accept different views
- Don’t try to force the maternal instinct if its not there
- Focus on ways to be okay with your decision
