Not by Choice:

  2. Consider alternatives options (adoption, pets, nieces/nephews, friends)
  3. Don’t self blame
  4. Channel maternal nurturing energies into constructive outcomes
  5. Seek support to help process feeling (clergy, therapist, friends ect.)

By Choice:

  1. Understand that this is your choice
  2. Explore origin of your choice
  3. Don’t expect everyone to understand
  4. Accept different views
  5. Don’t try to force the maternal instinct if its not there
  6. Focus on ways to be okay with your decision
